Start with the application
A product name is only the beginning. Share the vehicle model, model year, engine variant and original part reference wherever possible. A clear photo of the existing part and its connector or mounting points can help resolve similar-looking alternatives.
Make commercial requirements explicit
Include target quantity, preferred packaging, destination country and expected delivery window. Separate trial-order requirements from repeat-order forecasts so the supplier can quote practical quantities and lead times.
Agree on verification before dispatch
Ask which dimensions and functional checks will be recorded, what batch documentation is available and how packaging will be verified. Written acceptance criteria make it easier for both sides to identify and resolve discrepancies before shipment.
